E-MAIL SCAMS

IRS has once again reminded taxpayers to pay heed to bogus e-mails claming to origninate from the agency. The e-mails are "designed to trick the recipients into disclosing personal and financial information that could be used to steal the recipients' identity and financial assets. These emails tell recipients they are due a federal tax refund and direct them to go to a web site that appears to be a legitimate site.
